An oasis in the woods, a clearing covered with vines, a village in the distance , a mountain in the back and two trees, big and old, that mark the passage of time and greet you on arrival: it is their land, their feud, and that’s the meanings of “Feudo dei Gelsi” (lit. Mulberry Tree Feud).
About ten years ago I came to live and work on this isolated hill … only when you get up here, you understand why. Now also Elena and the kids are with me, and together, with passion and without fundamentalism, we grow vines and produce wine following the philosophy of the natural wines. The biodynamic vineyard management is the most consistent choice, as we are surrounded by woods and away from contaminations. In the cellar, the spontaneous fermentation and aging in oak barrels gives us support in the research of giving elegance and long life to our wines.
At the beginning of October we start collecting the red grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon and Refosco , which will pass in the cellar for the long fermentations. Then we have the time to devote to the slow and careful collection of Verduzzo white grapes witch, after drying in the vineyard and in the drying loft, will lead us to achieve our most important wine, the Ramandolo DOCG . The cellar, new and welcoming, located between the hills behind Nimis, is reached by a scenic stroll through the woods . If one day you happen to pass by here, you will be welcomed.
